  1. Kia ora Kareem!

My name is Mikey and I'm going to be commenting on your Summer Learning Journey blog posts this year. I'm excited to read your blog and get to know you over the summer holiday :)

You've chosen some great facts, Kareem. Can you tell me why the fact that there are no snakes in New Zealand is one of your favourites? I find the fact that Gisborne is the first city to see the Sun particularly interesting - I knew that New Zealand was a special place but that fact makes it even more special! Have you ever been to Gisborne? I've only been once but would love to go back again.

You've made a great start to the Summer Learning Journey Programme and I look forward to reading more of your posts soon :)

    1. Hi Mikey! Thanks for commenting on my blog, maybe snakes aren't allowed in New Zealand, I haven't been to Gisborne, but I have seen that fact online.

  3. Hi Kareem,
Your top 3 facts are fascinating. Did you know that Westport had the most sunshine hours last year? I was hoping to see some more Summer Learning Journey posts. Have you taken look at them over the holidays?

I didn't know that Westport had the most sunshine hours last year. I forgot to look at the SLJ activities over the holidays.

    1. Hi Cody,
I don't think there are any deadly animals in New Zealand that I know of. I think New Zealand is known for some of the nature.

    1. Hi Danielle,

Thank you for your feedback, it took me about 10-20 minutes to find out the facts and about 5-10 minutes to make the blog post.
