SOLO is about the level of learning you do. At the senior hub we are are learning about.
Devices & Self Management
There are five levels of learning in SOLO taxonomy.
This is in order from lowest to highest and the ideas will be below
Pre Structural
- Sitting close to the teacher
- If they are using a device they should have their screen facing the teacher
- Not able to sit beside a Pre Structural friend
- Allowed to work with Relational + Extended Abstract
- No Music
- No Games
Unistructural
- Have to sit where the teacher can see them
- Screen facing teacher
- Told to have free time
- Can work with Relational + Extended Abstract
Multi Structural
- Needs to ask teacher to go outside
- When they are outside they need to be seen
Relational
- Needs to ask for music
- Asks to sit wherever they want
- Have to ask to do things like Extended Abstract
Extended Abstract
- Allowed on music with headphones
- Ask to sit wherever they want
- Don't need their screen facing the teacher
- Allowed to sit outside as long as they ask
- Setting their breaks
- Collaborating with other people in their free time
- At free time they know which sites to go on
- Has to come over to a Pre Structural, Unistructural and Multisructural space if they are working together
