Arbor Day

Arbor Day

Tomorrow (Friday 5th of June) is New Zealand Arbor Day. Arbor Day is about planting trees and it is usually celebrated in spring so the date might be different for other countries. The first Arbor Day was celebrated in April 10, 1872 in Nebraska City and there were approximately 1 million trees planted.

At school we planted plants and trees outside, Jaren, Isaiah and I planted a tree together. Trees are important because they give us oxygen.

Did you know that arbor means tree?
