Cultural Diversity

Yesterday was Cultural Diversity Day at school. In the morning, we came over to the amphitheatre, Mr Wilkinson said that there were about 24 different countries at school. There was a flag parade, people were showing their flags around the amphitheatre. After that, Whakamanawa sat in a circle and we shared some things about their culture, I didn't know where some people came from, I found it quite interesting learning about other people's culture. I am filipino, so I wore some filipino clothes. My mum made a sticker with the Philippines flag on it and I put it on my shorts.

In the afternoon, some people did some cultural performances. There were many performances like some dancing and singing.

It was fun learning about other people's culture and countries. I didn't think there were 24 countries represented at school.

Objects In The Classroom

Last week, we did an assessment on classroom objects in Māori. We had to move the objects to the right name. I found Pene & Pene rākau the easiest ones.

My next step is to learn rubber, paper, pen, bag and whiteboard.

Prototec May 7 2019

Prototec

Today, I have done a Prototec, I was rushing so I messed up on the factors a bit. I got 34/40 in 7 minutes and 53 seconds

My next step is to spend less time on the factors.

Filipino Culture

Kamusta, I am going to share a Google Drawing about Filipino Culture, if you did not know, my parents are Filipino but I am not that good at understanding Filipino words.

The flag is the Philippines flag, the city is Manila, the capital of Philippines. The picture on the bottom left is the Philippines. The food on the left is Adobo, a chicken and some sauce and the desert on the right is Halo-halo, it has shaved ice, evaporated milk and some fruits like ube and coconut.

My Goals

Kia ora everyone, this week I have made a Google Drawing about my goals. I really want to work on the ball with a fire trail. I have set the excercise goal to 40 minutes, because I excercise a lot during morning tea and lunch.
